About Crown Green Bowling

Unlike the more common flat green bowling, crown green bowling features a green that is slightly convex, resembling an upturned crown. The amount of 'curve' varies from green to green. The objective of the game is to roll biased woods, toward a smaller yellow ball, known as the jack. The aim is to get your woods as close to the jack as possible to score points. The game requires skill, strategy, and precision as you have to allow for the contours of the green and other players bowls that may be in your way. Crown green bowling is enjoyed by people of all ages and offers many health benefits. It provides a low-impact form of exercise promoting cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility. Walking, bending, and stretching can improve joint mobility and muscle tone.
